Customs Documentation and Declarations
Documentation is perhaps one of the most important aspects of customs compliance since this is where the actual compliance work is done. This training module focuses on the import and export documentation including the bill of lading, commercial invoice, certificate of origin, and packing list. Another item of evaluation will be an ability of participants to complete customs declarations through the Dubai Trade Portal and make sure that their shipments are not held up.

Proper classification of the goods is important towards the identification of the right customs duty rates. Part of the training is the procedure of classification of goods by the Customs system called HS Code, which is used in the international level. Players will be able to identify correct classification of products, identify mistake prone classifications and appreciate the consequences resulting from various tariffs on their business.

Customs Valuation and Duty
calculations can also be defined as the system used in assessing the value and the duty payable on traded items.
Custom valuation on the other hand is the assessing of value on imported goods to be enabled to calculate the customs duty. In this module, you will learn Dubai Customs methods used to value imported products including Transaction value, deductive value as well as computed value. All the participants will be able to know the right customs duty rates and other legal means of minimizing duty payments.

Free Zones and Special Customs Procedures
Dubai is home to multiple free zones where companies have specific customs procedures and are also forgo custom duties. During our training on the customs rules, we will communicate the significant customs procedures that businesses can avail in Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZA), and other UAE free zones. Students will be taught how to use these zones to control as much of their supply chain as possible and to cut customs-related expenses through this kind of processing.
06
Handling Customs Audits and Disputes
It is common in Dubai for businesses to take regular persecutions by the Dubai customs. For businesses’ security, a more relaxed but still stringent approach should be taken in case of a customs audit so that all visiting customs personnel will be congenial. The principles of the module hinge around the approach to customs audits in a way that will ensure all records are accurate and any misunderstandings between customs and companies are resolved promptly.
